Our History and Development: From Heritage of Industrial Foundations to Advanced Manufacturing
The history of our production site dates back to 1962, when the territory was initially established to serve as a fuel depot. In the early 1990s, the site transitioned into oil manufacturing, laying the foundations for the industrial operations that continue to this day.
At the time, a German entrepreneur had already established his business in the automotive lubricants industry, producing and marketing lubricants under his own private-label brand across Germany and the Benelux region. Recognizing the strategic potential of the Lithuanian facility, with its advantageous location connecting Western and Eastern markets, he saw an opportunity to expand his manufacturing capabilities and build a strong international production base in Lithuania. Hence, in 2003, the facility was acquired and began a new chapter under UAB SCT Lubricants.
Since then, UAB SCT Lubricants has followed a path of continuous investment, modernization, and technological advancement, transforming the historic site into one of Europe's most advanced lubricant manufacturing facilities. This journey of improvement continues to this day, driven by the ambition to develop our capabilities, embrace new technologies, strengthen our position in the global lubricants market, and uphold our commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development frameworks.
SCT Lubricants Nowadays: Current Operations
UAB SCT Lubricants operates on an industrial site covering more than 10 hectares in the port city of Klaipeda. The facility brings together an integrated range of manufacturing and logistics operations that include a reservoir park with a storage capacity exceeding 40 million liters, blending units, a modern quality assurance laboratory, in-house plastic and metal packaging production, advanced filling lines, and extensive warehouse facilities. By integrating these capabilities within a single production site, we maintain greater control over our storage capabilities, manufacturing and packaging processes, support efficient logistics, and help to ensure consistent product availability and timely order fulfilment for our customers.
UAB SCT Lubricants manufactures and distributes products under its own registered trademarks and private labels. Our extensive portfolio comprises more than 500 product types, including engine oils, transmission and gear oils, hydraulic and industrial fluids, antifreeze, automotive chemicals, treatments, cleaning products, specialty fluids, and automotive spare parts. Our products serve customers across a broad range of automotive, commercial transport, industrial, and other applications.

With approximately 170 employees, UAB SCT Lubricants is an established employer in Lithuania, contributing to the local economy through employment, manufacturing activity, supplier relationships, and international trade. Over the years, we have developed a worldwide network of commercial relationships and established supply and distribution routes connecting our Lithuanian operations with major oil refineries, raw material suppliers, and business partners across international markets. Our products reach customers in approximately 150 countries worldwide.
